Even though being the target of a much-maligned smear campaign for almost 3000 years, dragons still easily capture the human imagination. Here is some video evidence of recently sighted dragon in non-wizarding world China that has well over 3 million views in just under two months’ time.
Clearly, the non-wizarding world is still just as fascinated with dragons as the wizarding world!
Dragons in Non-Wizarding Popular Culture
Dragons are found in much of non-wizarding pop culture appearing in television shows and movies such as Game of Thrones, The Neverending Story, Dragonheart, How to Train your Dragon.

Sadly, ever since man has found some sort of mastery over his environment, dragons have been hunted and poached for high value dragon parts, sometimes even leaving the rest of the carcass to rot only to obtain a single part.
High value parts on the black market have included:

- Dragon’s blood to induce bravery
- Dragon fat cure eye sight problems
- Dragon eyes to obtain keen dragon sight
- Dragon hides for battle shields
- Dragon heart for courage,
- Dragon tongue for eloquent speech,
- Dragon liver to cure a cold
- Dragon powder grows hair,
- With dragon blood you'll never grow old
- Dragon cartilage keeps you thin
- Dragon fat is for burns
- A dragon tear will clear up your skin,
- Dragon eggs as a collectible curiosity
